While we are celebrating the remix of The Beatles' White Album, let us consider remixng in general. The opening to this song has potential for great vibe and coolness, however when the vocal enters, the heavy delay and other effects upon her voice change the mood considerably, immediately, irreversibly. If her voice were close and intimate like the other instruments, it would be quite a different record.
I should also mention that I really like this Madonna album, Ray of Light.
